UPDATE 0.4.0
IMPORTANT INFO
There is a lot of new features in this update and because of it old saves won’t work. It is necessary to to start a new game.
I’m kinda interested to hear what you would expect from further updates. I made a form with several questions, it shouldn’t take a long time and it could help me with planning.

PART 1: CONTENT

New Locations:

Swamp
- A letter from the teacher can be found at home starting from day 10. It unlocks new location and a new quest.

Ruins
- With new locations come new events, items, encounters, I won’t be mentioning about everything here to avoid spoilers. With this I’m pushing the main story a little bit further.

- Shopkeeper: “Teacher’s Order”

- There are several new resources, materials and items to equip.
PART 2: MECHANICS

Map movement
- Until now travel time was always counted from home location. Now current location is tracked and the distance is counted from where the player is. With little places to visit it’s not big deal, but I made a pathfinding script so it actually finds the shortest route.

House Reinforcement
- Improve your defense to lower the chance of being attacked during the night.

Level up system
- Character now gains experience from battles and doing quests. After leveling you gain additional stat points that you can distribute however you want.

Sanity
- There’s no way to lower sanity yet. In future updates sexual contact with some monsters will lower sanity which will lead to the bad ending.

Week day
- Nothing that big actually. Just additional information which will let me make events happening in the specific days.

Escape from battle
- It wasn’t working as supposed. There were several places where escaping should give you different dialogue, but in the end it wasn’t possible to reach it. I was able to fix it, so running away from ‘certain’ situation won’t be a solution anymore.
PART 3: VISUAL ASPECTS

New main interface
- I hope it’s going to help a little bit with navigating, plus will make the game a little bit more enjoyable and easy to play. It’s still something I’m working on, so expect some more changes in the future.
- Big thanks to Fryc (FurAffinity) for helping me with the design of the UI.

Swamp event
- There will be a different screen during the event. I’m kinda experimenting to see what I can actually achieve. If it’s gonna be fine than maybe I will use that kind of presentation from time to time.

Art
- That’s kinda big for me. Two characters have their own graphics - Shopkeeper and Bandit. Those are made by Zoroj. More of his work can be found here:
- I plan to add more artworks in the future!
PART 4: BALANCE
It’s hard to point out all of the balance changes. Some items were adjusted, the same goes if it comes to recipes. With the leveling system I had to change some numbers in monster statistics. I’m pretty sure there will be needed a big balancing patch at some point, for now I’m focusing mainly on finishing all of the mechanics I want to put into the game.

I really love the lizardman content! I hope to see more of them later, keep up the good work!
I'm glad to hear that. I tried to make the lizardman village interesting. And there's still a lot to show there in the future updates!
